Burble aggressiveness

Slot 1 uses the burble aggression sliders configured in the MG Flasher app and is the default profile for Custom Code v7.1+.

Multiple Sound Profiles.
Traditional burble changes often require another flash whenever the driver wants a different level. Burbles On-The-Fly stores multiple supported profiles in the Custom Code calibration and lets the driver choose between them in real time.
The selected profile changes burble behaviour only where it has been correctly configured and enabled. It does not guarantee the same sound across every vehicle, engine, exhaust system or tune.

Select supported burble slots directly from the app, with invalid or disabled slots unavailable.

Enter the Burbles submenu through the Custom Code Menu and select a profile with supported vehicle controls.
Saved Selection
Compatible Custom Code versions can preserve the selected On-The-Fly profile through the supported EEPROM save process.

Burbles On-The-Fly uses the combined instrument-cluster logic of the OEM tachometer and Check Engine Light. The tachometer identifies the Burbles submenu or the selected profile, while the CEL confirms the active CCM state.

In the root menu, 2K identifies the Burbles feature. Only after the submenu opens do 0, 1K, 2K, 3K, 4K and 5K represent the available profiles.

Navigate the OEM tachometer to 2K
While the CEL blinks slowly, move through the CCM root menu until the tachometer points to 2K for Burbles On-The-Fly.

Enter CCM
Open the Custom Code Menu
With the engine running, hold the configured CCM entry control until the CEL begins blinking slowly.
Navigate
Move to 2K RPM
Use the rocker to move the tachometer to the Burbles submenu position.
Confirm
Enter the Submenu
Use the configured enter action. Two CEL blinks confirm that the Burbles submenu is active.
Select
Choose Slot 0–5
Move the tachometer between 0 and 5000 RPM to select OEM, App Slider, Levels 1–3 or Burble OFF.
Apply
Accept the Profile
Confirm the selected slot using the configured UniRocker or RockerCombo enter action.

Burble behaviour is subject to vehicle operating conditions and the installed calibration. The feature does not activate simply because a profile is selected.

Burble behaviour changes combustion and exhaust sound during overrun. The result depends on the tune and hardware, and aggressive operation can increase heat and stress in the exhaust system.
Use a calibration prepared for the exact vehicle and hardware.
Follow tuner guidance and avoid excessive use.
Respect local noise, emissions and road-use regulations.
Select Burble OFF whenever the sound is not appropriate.

What are Burbles On-The-Fly?
Burbles On-The-Fly lets compatible vehicles change between supported exhaust burble profiles without performing another full flash.
How many profiles are available?
Custom Code v7.1+ documents six profiles: OEM, App Slider, three preset levels and Burble OFF.
What does the App Slider profile use?
It uses the burble aggression slider settings configured during the supported flashing workflow and is the default profile in the current v7.1+ layout.
Can I turn burbles completely off?
Yes. Slot 5 is the dedicated Burble OFF profile on Custom Code v7.1+.
Can I change the profile from the app?
Live Control can display and select supported burble slots on compatible Custom Code versions. Disabled or invalid slots cannot be selected.
Why are burbles not active immediately after startup?
The documentation states that coolant temperature must be above approximately 50°C and the engine must have been running for longer than about 30 seconds.
Does 2K RPM activate burbles?
No. In the root Custom Code Menu, 2K RPM is the visual menu position used to enter the Burbles submenu. It is not an engine-speed activation threshold.
Does the feature sound the same on every vehicle?
No. Sound depends on the engine, exhaust hardware, catalytic converter, calibration, operating conditions and installed Custom Code.
