The Diagnostics page can reset supported adaptation groups such as mixture adaptation, VANOS, fuel-system values, Valvetronic lift and increment-wheel adaptation.
Adaptation resets can change how the engine behaves while values are relearned. They should not be used as a generic fix for unresolved mechanical, electrical or calibration problems.
The Check Engine Light can be used intentionally by Custom Code to confirm CCM states, active submenus, Ethanol Content Display, Anti-Lag operation or a Valet Mode exceeded-limit warning.
If the CEL remains continuously illuminated longer than the CCM timeout configured during flashing, it may be performing its normal OEM function and indicating an ECU fault. Read the stored DTCs before clearing codes, reflashing or changing multiple settings.
Slow, fast or counted blinking can be used by CCM and supported Custom Code features to communicate a state or active submenu.
If the light remains continuously illuminated beyond the configured CCM timeout, open diagnostics and read the stored DTCs.
Compatible Custom Code can record dedicated protection faults that are available through the standard Read DTC page.

If the triggering condition remains active, the DTC may return or may not clear. Record the codes and investigate the underlying condition before repeatedly clearing faults.
These tools can alter ECU state, remove an unlock or depend on a fully stock configuration.
Restore supported coding when original coding is missing or corrupted. Verify the current coding status first.
Restore factory software and relock the ECU. This can remove an existing bench or Femto unlock and require another unlock later.
Read selected ECU areas to a binary backup when the ECU is still inactive and running fully stock software.
