Custom Code v7.1 introduced Ethanol Content Display and Ethanol Content Override. Together, they allow the driver to view the current ethanol value and—when required—replace the sensor value with a manually selected percentage.
These functions provide ethanol information. They do not by themselves create a Flex Fuel tune. Automatic calibration blending requires compatible Flex Fuel Blending logic, the correct Custom Code, prepared map data and a supported vehicle setup.

Provide a manual ethanol value when no ECA is installed, when a sensor is malfunctioning or when a fixed value is required.
The ECU uses the configured ethanol source and makes that value available to supported Custom Code functions.
A supported ethanol sensor communicates its current value through the configured PT-CAN connection.
Without a working sensor, a manual percentage can be selected through supported app or CCM controls.
Hold the supported rocker input to temporarily display the active ethanol percentage on the tachometer.
Compatible Flex Fuel or diagnostic functions can use the configured ethanol value where the setup supports it.
With the engine running, hold the rocker fully upward to activate the Ethanol Content Display. The tachometer temporarily moves to the active ethanol value and returns to normal operation when the rocker is released.
The scale is direct: each 100 RPM represents 1% ethanol. A 2000 RPM indication therefore represents 20% ethanol content.
The tachometer-based display is limited by the physical 7500 RPM scale. Higher values can still be handled through compatible in-app controls where supported.
The override can replace the sensor reading—or provide a value when no sensor is installed.
On compatible Custom Code v7.1+ setups, enable the override and choose a value from 0% to 100% in 5% increments.

Five counted blinks identify the Ethanol Content Override submenu because it occupies the 5K position in the Custom Code Menu.
The slow blink indicates that Ethanol Content Display is currently being used.

Ethanol Content Display and Override tell supported Custom Code what ethanol percentage should be used. Flex Fuel Blending is the separate calibration system that uses that value to interpolate supported boost, fuel, ignition and other map data.
Installing an ECA or entering an override value does not automatically make a vehicle Flex Fuel capable. The ECU still requires compatible Custom Code v7.3+, correctly prepared maps and suitable fuel-system hardware.
