Anti-Lag temporarily changes engine control behaviour to build intake and exhaust pressure before acceleration. MG Flasher supports both stationary and rolling use cases on compatible configurations, with simple and expert settings available for tuning activation, boost response and safety limits.
Anti-Lag intentionally increases thermal and mechanical load. It should be configured by a knowledgeable tuner, used infrequently and operated only where local law and the vehicle environment allow it.

Fuel Cut was introduced as a lower-stress method compared with Ignition Cut. It can hold RPM and build boost without creating flame effects.
Ignition Cut can create a more aggressive event with significant timing retard, exhaust pressure and possible backfire. It places greater stress on the engine, turbo and exhaust system.
MG Flasher uses the cruise-control rocker and configurable Custom Code settings to control the Anti-Lag event.
Remain below the configured speed threshold used to identify a stationary launch.
Hold the cruise-control rocker in the far-down position until the Check Engine Light blinks quickly.
Keep holding the rocker and press the throttle so engine speed rises toward the configured launch RPM.
Release the rocker when ready. Anti-Lag ends and the vehicle accelerates.
Move to the desired rolling speed and select a gear that keeps RPM within the configured operating window.
Hold the cruise-control rocker in the far-down position until the Check Engine Light blinks quickly.
Press the throttle beyond the configured activation point while the rocker remains held.
Release the rocker to leave the Anti-Lag event and begin the rolling acceleration.
On compatible Custom Code, Live Control provides a standing Anti-Lag RPM slider from 1,500 to 6,000 RPM in 100 RPM increments. The same standing setpoint can also be adjusted through the Custom Code Menu on supported vehicles.
Live Control changes the standing Anti-Lag setpoint directly in the app. Where supported, the slider adjusts the target RPM from 1,500 to 6,000 in 100 RPM increments.
The app is the clearest way to preview the standing setpoint. In the CCM, the tachometer position at 4K identifies the Anti-Lag submenu, while the CEL explains the state.

Anti-Lag uses the combined instrument-cluster logic of the OEM tachometer and Check Engine Light. The tachometer shows the root-menu position or a chosen standing RPM value, while the CEL identifies whether you are in the root menu, inside the Anti-Lag submenu or actively using Anti-Lag.
The 4K tachometer position identifies the Anti-Lag submenu. It is not automatically the selected standing launch RPM.
The slow blink confirms that the CCM root menu is active.
While the CEL blinks slowly, move through the CCM root menu until the tachometer points to 4K for Anti-Lag.

If a configured safety boundary is exceeded, Anti-Lag can stop, require the driver to release the throttle and temporarily reduce boost pressure until conditions return within range.
Anti-Lag remains unavailable when the engine is colder than the configured minimum.
The event stops if coolant temperature exceeds the configured upper boundary.
Excessive exhaust-gas temperature before the turbo can trigger a safety shutdown.
High intake-air temperature can end the event to limit additional thermal load.
The event ends if intake-manifold pressure exceeds the target plus the configured over-boost margin.
Compatible versions can stop Anti-Lag when the configured maximum event duration is reached.
MG Flasher can temporarily open the electronic wastegate, reduce performance and expose the “Custom Code: Anti-Lag Shutdown Reason” parameter for troubleshooting.

Not a general OTS availability claimIgnition Cut is available on the B58 platform. It has been removed from B4x OTS maps, while custom-tuner access may differ.
Fuel Cut availability also depends on Custom CodeAnti-Lag is not a universal toggle. It requires a compatible tune, enabled Custom Code settings and a vehicle operating inside configured safety boundaries.
The connected ECU must support a Custom Code version that includes Anti-Lag functionality.

MG Flasher Anti-Lag is a Custom Code feature that can build boost before a stationary or rolling launch by temporarily changing engine-control behaviour on compatible vehicles.
