BMW vehicles can use a programmed vehicle-speed limiter as part of the factory ECU calibration. On supported MG Flasher platforms, the limiter can be disabled through the available map options before flashing.
The approved B58 material describes a factory limiter set to 250 km/h. The exact factory value, option availability and resulting vehicle behavior can differ by market, model, ECU software and calibration.
